Debbie remembers Teen Town
I remember our Friday dances beside the Protestant Church where the latest 45's spun, relationships spawned and teen rivalry was nourished. We had to have parent chaperones and I remember one time when my mom came dressed in teen mini skirt and beads much to the delight of everyone there; except me. When she asked Pete to ask me to dance I thought I was going to die. Its funny now but not so way back then.... I got over it, Pete!

The Trouble We Could Get Into!!
I remember one night when the girls had a pajama party with no chaperones in the room by the church. Someone got the idea of going into the church part and putting on a pretend service. With my catholic background, I was a bit scared of the consequences from up high. There was lots of giggling and running and if I can remember correctly; didn't the base police come and shut that activity down? Perhaps someone could email me with their remembrances of that night. Love to hear more!
Snack Bar Hangout!
During the off times we could always find someone hanging out in the snack bar. Though we only had enough money for a pop and french fries and the odd song on the jukebox, a lot of gossip and planning went on there. There was a powerful pull to get there every evening as you wouldn't want to miss a thing.
